Radio Dawn FM 107.6 — Ofcom Community Radio Fund Grant Report 2025–26 This report sets out how Radio Dawn FM 107.6 (Licence No. CR000015BA/4) used its grant award from the Ofcom Community Radio Fund (Round 2, 2024–25) during the expenditure period 1 March 2025 to 30 April 2026. The grant of £26,000 was used to fund the Fundraising Manager role, supporting the station's efforts to grow income, develop community partnerships, and strengthen long-term sustainability. Key activities included organising fundraising events, securing advertising partnerships, and building relationships with local organisations including Nottingham City Council's Health & Wellbeing initiatives. Fundraising income generated during the period totalled over £11,000, including approximately £5,000 raised through the Ramadan 2026 appeal. The grant also contributed to the station's delivery of social gain through community seminars, wellbeing sessions, and participation in local events including Eid fairs — helping promote inclusion, wellbeing, and social cohesion across Nottingham. This report is published in accordance with Clause 3.5 of the Ofcom Community Radio Fund Grant Agreement.

On 13 July 2025, Radio Dawn successfully organised a masterclass led by the renowned TV anchor and Naqeeb-e-Mehfil, Tasleem Sabri, held at the BMCC. The event brought together 26 participants who gained valuable knowledge and inspiration. This initiative was envisioned by the respected CEO of Karimia Institute, Prof. Dr. Musharraf Hussain, with the aim of empowering and uplifting the community. The event was thoughtfully supervised by Dr. Amjad. Proceedings began with a heartfelt Qirat by Imam Masood, followed by a soulful Naat presented by Arshad. Participants were also given the opportunity to present and deliver speeches on topics of their choice, which were thoughtfully analysed and critiqued by Tasleem Sabri. His session offered deep insights and practical guidance, followed by an engaging Q&A session. Certificates of participation were awarded to all attendees at the close of the event. Refreshments were served throughout, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. Participants expressed their appreciation for Radio Dawn’s efforts, with several pledging their commitment to contribute to future radio shows. Overall, it was a meaningful and successful event, and we look forward to organising further initiatives for the benefit of our community. JazakAllah khair.
